Who is Daniel Lichtenstein?

Using a double training in medical intensive care and ultrasound, Prof. Daniel Lichtenstein has developed since 1989 the use of general ultrasound applied to the intensive care, in the University Hospital Ambroise Paré (AP-HP), in François Jardin’s medical ICU.

He or his team have published many articles in the international literature, including 18 original articles and several review articles. He has been called for a communication at the french National Academy of Medicine (March 6, 2007, séance).

 

His book, L'Echographie Générale en Réanimation, has been published by Springer-Verlag in 1992, in 2002 in a fully reviewed version, and translated in english by Springer since 2005 with the title « General ultrasound in the critically ill ». The 2005 english edition is sold out, and has been replaced by an edition available since 2010 (Whole Body Ultrasonography in the Critically Ill).

Daniel Lichtenstein takes part to increasing national and international congresses where he is invited to make lectures and workshops. He was called to be Honorary President of the Congress of Ultrasound in the Critically Ill (Milano, feb. 2007). See also his posters and
